Wire and cable industry veteran dies

John J. Pasqual, Jr., died November 26, 2012 at the age of 72.

He was the son of the late John J. and Mary T. (Mascena) Pasqual.

John was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, R.I. class of 1958 and attended both Rhode Island College and Providence College.

He served in the U.S. Army and then the Army Reserves for several years and his unit was activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis before his discharge in 1965.

John was the wire and cable sales manager for Tyco, Inc. in New Bedford for several years until his retirement. He had previously worked for Alfex Wire and Cable Co. in California, Carol Cable in Pawtucket and United States Steel Co., in Cleveland.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Gloria, four children, John J. Pasqual, III and his wife, Sherry, Jane M. Glass and her husband, Richard, all of Bristol, Joseph D. Pasqual and his wife Laurie of Manchester, N.H., Mary E. Gerhard and her husband Carl, two brothers, Manuel and Thomas A. Pasqual, all of Bristol, nine grandchildren, Joseph D. Pasqual, 2nd, Joshua J., Elizabeth H., and Daniel J. Pasqual, Carl J., John A. and Mary G. Gerhard, Leeana and John Nito.
