BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — G&W Electric Co. announced the appointments of Joe Baker to regional vice president of sales Northeast (U.S.), Marco Santagata to regional vice president of sales EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), and Giin Sia to regional vice president of sales APAC (Asia Pacific). All three will report to Stephen Haley, vice president, global sales at G&W Electric. Also, Nenad Uzelac, global research and standards manager, has been appointed to the IEEE PES Switchgear Committee Technology & Innovation Subcommittee Chair.

Joe Baker brings an extensive background with strong experience in the electrical industry working in business development, product management, and strategic marketing. Prior to joining G&W Electric, Baker has held significant roles including senior vice president, strategic marketing for ABB, chief executive officer for Acciona Windpower North America LLC. and most recently, president and chief executive officer for Baker McElroy Strategies.
Prior to G&W Electric’s acquisition of Tozzi Electrical Equipment in September 2019, Marco Santagata held the role of head of sales for nearly three years at the Italy-based company. Santagata will be based in Milan where he previously held multiple managerial positions at ABB and Eni for more than a decade.
Giin Sia has more than 28 years of experience within power, renewable energy, automation and oil and gas sectors. He will be based in Singapore where he most recently held positions in the region including principal consultant, energy storage lead Asia Pacific for DNV GL and regional director Asia Pacific for NEC Energy Solutions.
In other news, Nenad Uzelac, global research and standards manager, G&W Electric, has been appointed to the IEEE PES Switchgear Committee Technology & Innovation Subcommittee Chair. In 2018, Nenad was appointed to the CIGRE Chair of Study Committee A#, Transmission and Distribution Equipment.
