IDEAL president, CEO joins board of directors

IDEAL Industries has announced that effective immediately, Jim James, president and CEO, will also take on the responsibility of vice chairman of the board of directors.

James has been with IDEAL since August of 2008. He joined the company as president and CEO. He previously served as the president of ITW Building Components Group, a division of Illinois Tool Works.

“In his three years here Jim has skillfully guided IDEAL through a severe recession, brought a new commitment to efficiencies and lean processes, and spearheaded several acquisitions that provide opportunities and access to new markets for us. Our growth in sales, earnings, and market presence during Jim’s tenure has been remarkable,” said Dave Juday, chariman of the IDEAL Board of Directors. “Jim being named to a leadership role on the board is reflective of the board’s confidence in his operational skill as well as the vision and commitment to strategy that he has shown.”
