SALISBURY, NC – Shat·R·Shield Lighting Inc. is happy to announce the new hire of Jessy Fowler, Associate Product Design Engineer, effective April 2, 2024.
Fowler’s role will include working alongside the Shat·R·Shield Engineering team to assist in the development of new products, line extensions, and continuous improvement of existing products. He will also bring forward new designs, enhance/evaluate existing designs, and work with customers to provide or design which product best fits their wants or needs.
He attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College, earning his Associates Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. Since then, he has learned the ways of the engineering industry, gaining experience in automation machinery for woodworking, tool and die for manufacturing, research, and product development to expand various companies’ products.
“I’m excited to dig into the realm of product development and design for Protective Lighting. This will be a new challenge that I feel energetic and ready for. This role will allow me to showcase and enhance both my mechanical and electrical skillset,” says Fowler. “Someone once said to me, ‘Work should be done correctly and accurately because quality matters. Why would I care how fast you can get it wrong?'” He adds, “This speaks volumes with the relationship of engineering and re-work.”
Fowler attended South Rowan High School before enlisting in the U.S. Navy, serving 5 years of active duty stationed aboard the U.S.S. Truxtun.
