Siemens Reorganizes Construction Sales Organization

Recent personnel changes within the Construction Sales organization of Siemens Smart Infrastructure USA allowed the company to reassess its organizational setup to better address its distributors’ needs.

The company’s newly aligned Channel Organization will be responsible for sales coverage, daily interaction with channels, performance management, execution and ownership of channel programs, incentives, analytics and policies. Siemens is also reestablishing its National Account Management program to provide focus for its large channel partners. This new Channel Organization will be more agile and able to move more quickly to meet customer needs and market demand. It will provide clear accountability and lines of responsibility, allowing Siemens to be a better partner.

After 25 years at the company, Steve Korb, Vice President of Construction Sales at Siemens Smart Infrastructure USA, recently announced that he will retire at the end of March 2020. Steve’s role is being divided into two different positions, to help centralize and consolidate channel-related functions that currently exist across the business.

Chris York, who formerly headed the systems business within Siemens’ Low Voltage Products business unit, will head the new Channel Organization within Siemens Smart Infrastructure USA. During his more than 25 years with the company, Chris has held various roles, including sales and application engineer, area sales manager, regional sales and channel manager as well as marketing director.

New to Siemens Smart Infrastructure USA, Steve Sykes will lead the Construction Sales teams. During his 26 years at Schneider Electric, Steve held various leadership positions including sales, product management, product marketing, strategic marketing and business development. Prior to joining Siemens, Steve was the Director of Business Development and National Sales Manager for Energy Sales, where he was responsible for driving low and medium voltage sales.

Chris York and Steve Sykes will continue to work closely with Steve Korb, to ensure a smooth transition for Siemens’ channel partners, customers, and sales team.
